Kristen Giles

English Teacher, Yearbook Advisor

I love that English literature is ambiguous and can have multiple interpretations. It’s interesting to see my students come to multiple conclusions about the same text. It really gives an insight into who they are. If I can tell boys one thing about Fishburne, I would say to be open-minded to the process. Fishburne is a completely new experience to most kids and can feel challenging. Take the information and corrections given to you because they are being given so you can improve. The ones who fail Fishburne are the ones who outwardly fought against the principles and rules. Accepting the new experience will make settling in all the easier.

CREDE

I graduated from Rowan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Education with a concentration in teaching.

INTERESTS

I enjoy reading, watching movies and tv shows, and spending time with friends and family. I have only been in Virginia for four years, so I like trying new restaurants and shops. My favorite movie is “Thor: Ragnarok” and my favorite author is Stephen King.
